New medals from I swim for Italy at Paralympics of Paris 2024. After Carlotta Gilli (100 butterfly) and Francesco Bocciardo (200 freestyle), also Stephen Raimondi won gold in the 100 rana SB9 at the Paris Paralympics. The Italian led the entire race, closing the first lap with a wide advantage and then holding on in the second. Sixth place for the other Italian in the race, Riccardo Menciotti.

The same sport also won the bronze medal Monica Boggioni in the 100 freestyle S5. The Italian repeated her third place in the 200 freestyle the day before, finishing behind the English Tuòòy Kearney, gold, and the Ukrainian Iryna Poida, silver.
