Welcome to this live broadcast dedicated to the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

What’s on today’s schedule? And here we go for a new day of competition. The blind football tournament opens at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, like the wheelchair tennis tournament in the setting of Roland-Garros. This Friday, August 30, also marks the kickoff of the athletics events.

On the French team side, cyclist Alexandre Léauté enters the running in the pursuit at the Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines velodrome, as do the women’s doubles in wheelchair tennis with the pair Ksénia Chasteau-Pauline Déroulède and Charlotte Fairbank-Emmanuelle Mörch, and, in the men’s singles, Frédéric Cattanéo, Guilhem Laget and Gaëtan Menguy.

In team sports, the Blues will challenge Iran in goalball (1:15 p.m.), Canada in wheelchair basketball (6:15 p.m.), Australia in wheelchair rugby (7:30 p.m.) and Italy in sitting volleyball (8 p.m.).

Medals will be awarded in taekwondo, table tennis, athletics, swimming, track cycling and shooting.
