Friday evening: Temperatures will stay in the mid-70s to low 80s after sunset with little to no chance for rain. Winds will move from the east and northeast at 5 to 10 miles per hour with partly cloudy skies.
Friday night will be a perfect evening to enjoy the outdoors.
RIP CURRENT RISK:
A moderate rip current risk remains for the weekend. Whether you are a novice summer or an expert it’s best that you stay out of the ocean because you could easily be harmed by a rip current.
TRAVEL FORECAST:
A cold front is moving from the Southwest to the Midwest, causing delays and cancellations for airplane travelers. Please check with your local airport provider to see if you will be delayed.
TRACKING THE TROPICS:
Two disturbances are in the tropics:
As of 8-30-24 One disturbance has a 0 percent chance of developing over the next 2 days and a 20 percent chance over the next seven days.
A second disturbance closer to the Lesser Antilles has a 40 percent chance of developing in the next seven days but a 0 percent chance over the next 2 days.
What to expect in the Tropics: Long-term models show a possible cyclone moves toward the eastern Gulf and then moves north toward the Florida Panhandle. However, it is too soon to confirm this track because the model track is at least 10 days from today.
