France wins 11 medals on Thursday thanks to cycling and swimming

Lhe French Paralympic delegation continues its harvest in these Paris 2024 Games, with 11 new medals this Thursday, September 5. Paracycling is the main provider with 4 podiums, including two titles for Florian Jouanny and Mathieu Bosredon. But France also shone in judo, athletics, shooting, fencing and swimming thanks to Laurent Chardard, Ugo Didier and Hector Denayer. In blind football, the Blues qualified for the final.

Four new medals in cycling

After Wednesday’s raid, the French won four new medals in the road races, notably with the victories of Florian Jouanny in the H2 category and Mathieu Bosredon in H3. These bring together cyclists who use a handbike, i.e. a bike that moves forward using the strength of the arms. Loïc Vergnaud (H5) and Johan Quaile (H3) won silver.
