Marie Patouillet wins silver in the 500m, France’s first medal at the 2024 Paralympic Games

As in Tokyo, Marie Patouillet launched France’s medal haul. The 36-year-old from the Paris region, trained by Grégory Baugé, won silver in the C4-5 para-cycling track time trial (500 m) on Thursday. She took advantage of the fall of British Kadeena Cox, world and Paralympic C4 record holder, to slip from third to second place after qualifying with a time of 36.700.
