“Tatami”, an athlete struggling with the mullahs

« AAt the Paris Olympics, I was moved by the two Iranian taekwondo champions who embraced on the podium after the final: Nahid Kiani, silver medalist for Iran, and her friend, Kimia Alizadeh, bronze medalist for her country of exile, Bulgaria, after leaving Iran four years ago. This gesture says everything about the suffering and struggle of Iranian athletes under the influence of the religious regime.
