A golden Sunday for the French delegation

France won six medals on Sunday: on the Velodrome track with Marie Patouillet’s victory in pursuit ahead of Heidi Gaugain, in rifle shooting with Tanguy de La Forest’s title, in the pools with Emeline Pierre’s consecration, which came after two bronze medals in para-rowing. France climbs back to 5th place in the medal table which could increase further with athletics in the evening.

Golden tracks

After the two titles of Alexandre Léauté and Dorian Foulon, Marie Patouillet brought the third title of French para-cycling on track, by winning a Franco-French final against Heïdi Gaugain. Patouillet had already opened the counter of the French delegation by winning silver on Thursday. France leaves the Vélodrome of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines with seven medals.

On another track, the athletics track at the Stade de France, medal hopes rest on Timothée Adolphe (9:05 p.m.). Unlucky on numerous occasions in his favorite event, the 400 m, he has this time managed to qualify without a hitch and is aiming for gold in his T11 category, reserved for athletes with almost total visual impairment. Before him, Manon Genest and Mandy François-Elie in the T37 long jump and Gloria Agblemagnon in the F20 shot put are also expected.
