The Swiss Attorney General abandons the investigations against Mosengo-Omba of the CAF, for lack of legal basis.

The Swiss Prosecutor’s Office has decided to end investigations into Veron Mosengo-Omba, secretary general of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), in the apparent absence of grounds to open an investigation.

In November 2024, Veron Mosengo-Omba voluntarily traveled to Fribourg, Switzerland, to answer questions related to preliminary investigations.

CAF welcomes the decision taken by the Swiss Prosecutor’s Office and is delighted to note that the culture of ethics, transparency and governance, established under the presidency of Dr Patrice Motsepe, continues to be respected and applied within the organization and its Secretariat.
