Chelsea are considering recruiting an additional striker in the final moments of the 2025 winter transfer window. Dusan Vlahovic remains a prime target for manager Enzo Maresca.
Dusan Vlahovic not in phase with the philosophy of Thiago Motta?
Chelsea has been looking for a striker since the summer and Dusan Vlahovic could be available although he is Juventus’ top scorer this season with 12 goals, adding to 32 over the last two seasons. The Serbian striker started this season with the Juventus but was often sidelined during matches, sparking debate over his suitability for coach Thiago Motta’s style of play. The feeling is that the Turin coach expects more from his striker in the construction of the game and that he works harder defensively, which is not Vlahovic’s strong point. For these reasons, the idea of a departure has often been mentioned around the former Fiorentina player.
Chelsea want a complement to Nicolas Jackson
Chelsea want to strengthen in attack because Nicolas Jackson remains irregular, reports the Times. And the Blues could lose Christopher Nkunku. Jackson, 23, started the season well but has not scored in his last six matches. Nkunku, 27, wants to return to Germany after failing to consolidate his starting place since joining Chelsea in 2023.
-Veiga-Vlahovic, crossed fates?
A deal could be reached between the Premier League club and the Serie A club which covets Veiga. The files could join together to become one. There are now less than ten days left to close this deal.
