The Ministry of Sports validated the appointment of Pape Thiaw. According to Dsports, the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) and the ministry have reached full agreement, following correspondence sent to the authority on December 27.
This correspondence was favorably received by the authorities, thus confirming Pape Thiaw as national coach of Senegal. All that remains is to formalize the signing of the contract to appoint the former striker of the 2002 generation as national coach. This agreement puts an end to a long period of uncertainty and speculation which had fueled numerous comments in the media and the sporting world.
As for Pape Thiaw’s deputy, it is Teddy Pellerin, who now goes from the status of “freelancer” to that of a full-fledged employee. This change of status marks an important step in his career, after several years as assistant coach under Aliou Cissé, the former coach. The Federation has already made a commitment to secure and support the technical staff.
