Are you aware of having escaped the worst last September?

“Yes, it’s clear, I went through the eye of the needle, as they say. It was minus one! I was in the United States to rest because I still felt very tired. And at After a week, bam! It hit me, I had a narrow escape, really.”

Do you have any specific memories of what happened in Florida?

“Honestly, no. I no longer have any memory of what happened there. All I remember is waking up at the university hospital here in Liège. I no longer knew how to walk, nothing at all! But we started working almost immediately to get me back on my feet. Unfortunately, although I had obtained permission to spend Christmas Day at home, I fell ill. even lost a lot of weight too in this adventure.”

How is your revalidation going?

“I am currently in a specialized center where I work with a competent medical team. Every day, I receive a program to carry out. The rest of the time, I am on my bed, resting. But I am completely able to stand on my own now, and I hope to be out in about three weeks.”

Did you have a lot of visitors when you returned to Belgium?
