Jooris allows Geneva to reassure itself against Kloten – rts.ch

Geneva has found its way back to success in the National League. The Eagles won 2-0 at Les Vernets against Kloten thanks to a double from Josh Jooris (41st and 60th).

Forty-eight hours after the slap received in the Champions League, Geneva once again found a Zurich team on its way to Les Vernets. This time it was Kloten who only showed up with 4 foreign players.

After the injury to Canadian Tyler Morley at the start of the year, Miro Aaltonen, top scorer in the championship (20 successes), was temporarily suspended due to a potential anti-doping rule violation. And Zurich still lost a third attacker, Friborg Axel Simic, hit in the head by a puck and remaining in the locker room in the third period.

In a meeting which remained undecided for a long time, the two teams remaining diligent without shining, it was ultimately from Josh Jooris’ cane that the decision came. The Canadian-Swiss opened the scoring in the 41st, triggering an avalanche of fluff on the ice, before doubling the lead at the end of the game in the empty cage (60th). The Grenat (11th) thus come back to one point behind Langnau (10th).
