Back on the World Cup circuit, Lindsey Vonn already knows when she will stop. The American wants to go until February 2026 and the Milan-Cortina Olympics.
The 40-year-old will therefore ski for another year and try to get a 4th Olympic medal. The 2010 Olympic downhill champion in Vancouver believes she has her chances in Cortina on one of her favorite tracks.
“I won’t go beyonddeclared the forty-year-old to the AP news agency. This would be a great way to close the loop. I hope I can do it.”
Vonn made her return to the World Cup in December in St. Moritz after almost 6 years of hiatus. Despite this long absence and a right knee prosthesis, she displayed an excellent level, notably in St-Anton by taking 6th place in downhill and 4th in super-G.
-On Thursday during the first downhill training in Cortina, Vonn fell but only suffered a few scratches according to her.
