The Moroccan junior judo selection won 29 medals (8 gold, 8 silver and 13 bronze), during the first day of the African International Open of the discipline, organized until January 19 at the indoor hall of the Mohammed V complex. from Casablanca.
The precious metal was won, on the boys’ side, by Ahmed Alaoui Chrifi (-60 kg), Aniss Ijioui (-66 kg), Nouh Lahmouri (- 73 kg), Amine El Azzouzi (-100 kg), while among the girls , Meriem El Maakoul (-48 kg), Amina Alaoui Chrifi (- 52 kg), Malak Lakhal (-78 kg) and Taouab Aboulizza (+78 kg) climbed to the highest steps of the podium.
On Friday, the cadets will compete in the categories of minus 50, 55, 60, 66, 73, 81, 90 and +90 kg, while the cadets will compete in the categories of minus 44, 48, 52, 57, 63 , 70 and + 70 kg.
Competitions reserved for seniors will take place on Saturday and Sunday.
