In mid-November, the DNCG imposed heavy sanctions against OL. A hole of 175 million euros would then have been noted.

OL, which is listed on the stock exchange, will never officially confirm this kind of information, but this could give an idea of the situation, while it must currently bring money into the coffers. This Wednesday, The Team reveals that Olympique Lyonnais would have missed 175 million euros to pass the DNCG in November 2024.

We remember that despite John's positive face Weaverthe financial policeman of the League had heavily punished the Rhone club for this. He had banned him from recruiting in January, subjected him to payroll control and, above all, demoted him as a precautionary measure. Measures still in force today, the appeal before the FFF commission last Friday not having borne fruit on this subject.

The boss of Eagle who, in recent hours, has made known what he thinks of French football and its authorities, in particular the LFP and the National Directorate of Management Control, is now working to remedy this. The national media has established a draft calculation. Thus, with the transfers already recorded from OL (He would lie down, Jeffinho et Orban), €31 million will be injected. Add to this a saving on salaries with Anthony Lopesreleased to join . The club still pays part of its emoluments until the end of the season.

Textor's project will mainly involve the success of its IPO. Of the €100 million promised before the IPO, there are currently 80. We are therefore around 110 million, knowing that other sales of player(s), to Olympique Lyonnais and/or to Botafogo, will have place this winter. Projects are also still underway, such as the transfer of the academy lease to Michele Kang for €20 million, and that of its shares in Crystal Palace, with two groups in exclusive negotiations now.

With all this, and perhaps good performances by the Rhone residents in Ligue 1 (qualification for the Champions League?) and in the Europa League (they are 4th), Textor hopes to finally convince the DNCG next spring. But there is still a little work left.
