We knew there would be business to do following the bankruptcy of SK Deinze. It’s cynical, but that’s the way it is, and KV Mechelen therefore got its second goalkeeper.
KV Mechelen presented its third winter recruit this Tuesday. Nacho Miras (27 years old) signed a contract until the end of the season, with an option for an additional season.
Miras arrives free, and for good reason: he played at SK Deinze since the summer of 2022, and was therefore free since the bankruptcy of the Flandrian club. Mechelen was looking for a goalkeeper following the injury to Yannick Thoelen, and Nacho Miras was therefore an opportunity.
This season, Miras was again a starter at Deinze and played 11 Challenger Pro League matches. His market value is currently estimated at 400,000 euros by Transfermarkt.
-The Spanish goalkeeper has already reacted briefly to this news on the club website. “KV Mechelen is a fantastic club, with a rich history and great supporters. When I heard there was an opportunity here, I jumped at it straight away.”
“Mechelen is a really great club. I can’t wait to get started. I hope to have wonderful times here with the team and the fans,” concludes Nacho Miras.
