If the draw is maintained for January 15, the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) will indeed be postponed, according to a well-informed source contacted by Le360.
Expected between February 1 and 28 in Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda, this competition, reserved for local players, will still be played in 2025, but in summer, in August.
The draw is still expected for this Wednesday, January 15 at 6 p.m. at the Kenyatta International Convention Center in Nairobi (Kenya).
It seems that a tournament involving the selections invited for this CHAN, including Egypt, Algeria, South Africa and the Comoros, is planned for January 26 to 29 to designate the last two participants in the competition.
The Prize Money has, as a reminder, been increased by 75%, with the lucky winner of this edition receiving 3.5 million US dollars (approximately 36 million dirhams).
The national selection is already qualified and it is the natives of the year 2000 and beyond who must take part.
