The Canadian confirms the hiring of specialist Marc Bureau for faceoffs

In recent weeks, we have often seen Marc Bureau being around the Canadiens.

The former player, who was very good at faceoffs when he played, was contacted by the Canadian to help the club improve in a very important aspect of the game.

Since he arrived in the Canadiens environment, we have seen some differences. Guys especially behave better when they are called upon to take faceoffs.

And clearly, the CH seems satisfied with the work of the Quebecer.

For what? Because the official hiring of Bureau for the remainder of the season has been confirmed by the club. He is therefore not just an occasional consultant who will come around once in a while: he is a regular. Marc Antoine Godin reported it all.

Because the CH is collectively better than it was since the first time Bureau came to visit, it is logical to see that the CH chose to formalize the experience.

After all, it must be remembered that NHL clubs do not have payroll for team members who are not players. Adding gender specialists is therefore realistic.

Considering that the Canadian only has two assistants behind the bench, it is interesting to see that specialists are being added to the team. Because if Manny Malhotra was an assistant behind the bench, for example, hiring Marc Bureau wouldn’t exactly have been necessary.

Let’s see how often Bureau will be used and what impact it will have on the Canadiens’ center players, but also on the prospects who play in the center position on the Laval side.
