KM99 finished the 2024 season in style, with a superb second place gleaned at the Bol d’Or. This performance allowed them to finish at the fourth place in the FIM EWC Motorcycle Endurance World Championship. A remarkable result for a private team. This success seems to have galvanized the entire team and pushed them to reach a milestone for 2025.
A collaboration with Marc VDS
After numerous discussions with Yamaha, KM99 has sealed a partnership with the Marc VDS team. Through this strategic alliance, the objective is clear: “strive for excellence and fight for the title next seasonfacing the different factory teams”, communicates the team. The Marc VDS team is one of the most renowned structures in the world of motorcycle racing. She has three world titles in Moto2, while having made her mark in MotoGP and MotoE.
In endurance, success is often the result of stability. Thus, the KM99 technical and mechanical team remains unchanged for 2025. Yamaha and Dunlop will once again provide their support, with even greater involvement.
A fourth pilot
As for the drivers, the Yamaha R1 #99 will once again be entrusted to Florian Marino, Randy de Puniet et Jeremy Guarnoni (winner of the 2019 24 Heures Motos with Kawasaki, Editor’s note). This trio will be reinforced with the arrival of a fourth driver: Alessandro Delbianco (27 years old). This Italian rider comes from the Superbike World Championship. He knows the Yamaha R1 perfectly and will bring all his experience to help the team achieve its ambitions.
The 48th edition of the 24 Heures Motos, first round of the FIM EWC 2025, will be an opportunity for KM99 to prove that the alliance with Marc VDS is the expected turning point to achieve its ambitions. The Yamaha R1 #99 will be entered under the banner Elf Marc VDS Racing Team/KM99.
