If the R1 calendar update matches took up part of the weekend’s competitions, the 32nd finals of the Martinique Cup took place with 22 matches. The draw for the next round is scheduled for Monday January 20 at the football league.
No real surprises in this round of the Martinique Cup. Surprising and heavy scores for such an event were recorded.
Among these, the qualification of Effort du Morne-Vert with a clear score of 10 to 0 against the formation of Anses d’Arlet FC. L’Étendard de Bellefontaine crushed Gauloise de Trinité, 8 goals to 1. We will also note the 6 to 0 of CS Vauclinois against ASC Hirondelle.

In the duel between R2 residents, between Assaut and Réveil Sportif, the Pierrotins made the difference with mastery and determination from the first half. 4 to 0 on the scoreboard at the break, this will be the final score.
In R2 again, great victory for the Racing-Club de Rivière-Pilote which takes over the US Marinoise at the Roger-Bonaro stadium in Marin, the score 4 to 1 for the violines.

In the matches concerning the R1 clubs, the match between Inter Sainte-Anne (leader of Pool A of R2) and Emulation, which plays in the elite, was eagerly awaited. No goals between the two teams who had to play two overtime periods. The Schoelcherois won on penalties, 4 to 3.
Between Réal Tartane and Espoir (R1 club), no surprise there either since the Lucéens largely won, 5 goals to 0, a victory which is good for morale for the southerners who are in difficulty in the championship .
Concerning the residents of R1, we will remember the qualification of US Diamantinoise 3 goals to 1 against SC Lamentin and then, that of CO Trénelle 4 to 0 against Gri-Gri pilotin FC.
