For his part, Taylor savored his happiness after snatching the play-off with a rather miraculous eagle at 18, allowing him to co-sign with several players, including Echavarria, the best card of the last round (65) to finish at -16 : “It was a tough day, I didn’t look at the leaderboard until 13 or 14. Obviously chipping in at 18 was great. Nico played well all day, I knew he wasn’t going to give me anything. I love the playoffs. I find that my mind becomes clear in those moments, in match play. It’s an asset for me, but I still have weaknesses and that’s the reason why I’m only around 30th place in the world. I’m working to improve the rest”.
