Formula 1 | All of Italy will stop to watch the Australian GP according to Fittipaldi

Italy could be at a standstill on March 16, during the first Grand Prix of the season.

Emerson Fittipaldi predicting ‘the whole’ country will stop to watch Lewis Hamilton’s Ferrari debut.

Hamilton will spend his 19th season in Formula 1 as a Ferrari driver after signing a multi-year contract with the Scuderia even before the first race of 2024. He is now embarked on a new challenge, with the 40-year-old hoping his move from silver to red will bring him that elusive eighth Formula 1 world championship title since 2021.

Ferrari and its fans are hoping for the same thing, so much so that double world champion Fittipaldi believes all of Italy will be in front of his television when Hamilton competes in his first race in red at the Australian Grand Prix.

“Ferrari is coming back with a bang. You can imagine that with Lewis at Ferrari, all of Italy will stop on the first Sunday to see Lewis drive a Rossa!”

“Lewis’ motivation is intact, and it’s a challenge to start with a new team like Ferrari. Every driver dreams of driving for Ferrari.”

“And I think at this stage of his life, to be able to go to Ferrari, with Frédéric Vasseur, who was his team principal in Formula 3 and Formula 2, it’s perfect. The family comes together again and it will be a great challenge.”

“I’m looking forward to the season ahead, it should be very exciting for Lewis and Formula 1 is becoming extremely competitive now.”
