Matches canceled, some teams qualified for the 2nd round without playing

The first African countries qualified in the second round qualification for U17 Women’s World Cup 2025 are already known. So the teams involved try to dominate their opponents to reach the milestone, others have withdrawn from the first round matches.

The first round of the 2025 U17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers started on January 10, 2025. Against all expectations, all three matches scheduled for this first day did not take place. For various reasons, these matches were canceled. Host countries would have declared packageswhich allows their opponents to move on to the next round. The match between Congo and Benin which was scheduled for Sunday January 12 would also be aborted.

The African women’s teams who have already qualified for the 2nd round of qualification for the 2025 U17 Women’s World Cup are:Ethiopiathe Tanzaniathe Guinea and the Benign.

  • Zimbabwe – Ethiopia (Cancelled, Ethiopia qualifies for the next round)
  • Eswatini – Tanzania (Cancelled, Tanzania qualified for the next round)
  • Togo – Guinea (Cancelled, Guinea is qualified for the next round)
  • Congo – Benin (Cancelled, Benin is qualified for the next round)
