For enthusiasts, the spectacle today is grandiose. On the roads of the Col de Faye, a car and an engine that never stops roaring through the bends.

“Being able to see cars like that, it’s really fantastic. At that speed and what’s more, with small narrow passages,” marvels Stéphane, a resident of Veynes. An incredible day according to Julien, a Laragnais who adds that “with the rain and the fog, they take risks. It’s really great.”

Cars observed “very closely”

Tests, just a few days before Monte-Carlo, that Stéphane, a native of , would not have missed for anything in the world. “You can see the cars really, really close up. I take a lot of photos and videos. It’s really my passion,” he confides.

An essential day for drivers who test for several hours in particular their gearbox, their shock absorbers but also and above all their tires, like Elfyn Evans this Thursday.

“I think the conditions are, in any case, not easy. It’s really difficult because we only have one day of testing for the rally. It’s complicated to try all the tires for all the conditions. We just have to try to find the best compromise,” he explains on BFM DICI.

The tests which will continue in the coming days for each of the pilots, before the start of the reconnaissance.
