Pep Guardiola says Ruben Dias and Oscar Bobb are not ready to play against Salford City on Saturday.
We welcome the promotion contenders to League Two to the Etihad Stadium for a 6.45pm PST kick-off in the FA Cup Third Round.
Dias has been unavailable through injury since the Manchester derby on December 15, while Bobb was cruelly sidelined from the first part of the campaign with a leg injury days before the start of the Premier League.
In his pre-match press conference on Friday, Guardiola said the two players were getting closer, but insisted they would not play this weekend.
“He feels better, but he’s not ready. I don’t know when he will be,” he began of Dias.
As for Bobb, he said: “He’s partially training with the team. This is good news for us. It was a bone fracture. »
-“Now that it’s healed, he’s fine, but the good news is he’s back. »
Later in the press conference, Guardiola was asked about Ederson and John Stones.
The boss gave a mixed response, saying the Brazilian goalkeeper can play, but was less positive about Stones.
“Ederson feels good, but John Stones doesn’t,” he said.
