Aware of these problems, Ms. Khady Gaye Diène proposed a radical reform to guarantee better management of public funds and strengthen the transparency of the ministry’s financial operations. The main objective of this reform is to ensure full traceability and transparency of payments.

“Previously, payments in this department were made in the form of travel with hard cash. I therefore proposed that from now on, the payment of bonuses should be made directly from the Public Treasury. For football, this posed no problem. As soon as it was explained to them, all players provided their account numbers, and transfers are now made directly from the Treasury.
