: the 2025 BAL season is launched from Rabat!

This Thursday, January 9, the elite of African met in Rabat to launch season 5 of the BAL, the African Basketball League, a major event in the continental sports calendar.

For the occasion, Amadou Gallo Fall, president of the BAL, held a press conference, alongside Shakilla K. Umutoni, Rwandan ambassador to Morocco, and Hicham Ouahidi, national technical director and representative of the Royal Moroccan Federation of basketball (FRMBB).

Amadou Gallo Fall is delighted to return to Rabat and Morocco after the dazzling success experienced by the Combine last season. This event, organized for the second time in a row in the capital, highlights the young hopes of African basketball through a multitude of tests and world-class coaching, paving the way for them towards the professional world and the ‘Excellency.

Amadou Gallo Fall is particularly impressed by the infrastructure of Rabat and hopes that the enthusiasm will be there for the Nile Conference, the first that Morocco will host in 5 editions.

Rwanda being a partner of choice of the BAL, Shakilla K. Umutoni, Ambassador of Rwanda to Morocco, was also present to support the importance of this exceptional event and affirm her satisfaction at seeing more and more African countries involved. in his success.

Finally, Hachim Ouahidi, DTN and representative of the Royal Moroccan Basketball Federation (FRMBB), welcomes the fruitful collaboration between the Moroccan governing body and the BAL. The FRMBB is always in close collaboration with the League to ensure the success of the Combine and the Nile Conference.

The latter is held, as a reminder, from April 5 to 13 at the Moulay Abdellah Complex in Rabat. The FUS, national representative and quarter of the reigning finalists, will soon be determined on the identity of its opponents.
