From March 31 to April 4, 2025, Olympic and Paralympic Week is back! Each year, this event organized for young people promotes the practice of sport and its values.
An event designed for young people
The South Region and the French National Olympic and Sports Committee are joining forces to mobilize the regional educational community around this event. Its objectives are as follows:
- Promote Olympic and Paralympic values using educational and fun tools,
- Using sport as an educational support within teaching,
- Introduce Olympic and Paralympic disciplines through collaboration with the sports movement, by organizing practical workshops,
- Raise awareness of disability through the discovery of parasports and the organization of meetings around parasports or shared sports,
- Encourage young people to get involved as volunteers and citizens.
On the program for this week, in the region’s high schools which will participate in the event: challenges and fun and sporting activities, imagined by the students and their teachers, to celebrate the values of Olympism and Paralympism. Five years before the 2030 Winter Games in the French Alps, let’s bring the spirit of the Games to life in the Southern region!

-The Champions of the South, sources of inspiration
The Southern Region supports participating high schools by mobilizing its Southern Champions! These high-level athletes, men and women, able-bodied and para, exercising their talents in a wide variety of disciplines, are financially supported by the Region to prepare for the biggest competitions.
They will be able to come, upon request from establishments, to speak to young people and tell their inspiring story and journey. In addition, practical resources (sheets, kits) will be made available to facilitate organization within each high school.
