Foreign interest is confirmed for Yari Verschaeren…whose response did not take long – Tout le football

When Yari Verschaeren debuted at Anderlecht under the orders of Hein Vanhaezebrouck in November 2018, he probably did not expect to stay more than six years at the club and exceed the 200 games mark before leaving.

But injuries and lack of confidence caused him to stagnate at Lotto Park. Despite the rotation established by David Hubert, the new look Anderlecht was built without its Red Devil in the starting eleven. At the height of Sporting’s rise, the number ten started six games in a row on the bench.

Mario Stroeykens’ injury, however, changed the situation: Verschaeren regained his starting status and even his sense of goal, with two magnificent achievements in the Europa League and in the championship.

Force your luck in the second half of the season?

Stroeykens will not be back for the restart, so Yari Verschaeren should still get his chance in the coming weeks. The Mauves playmaker has, however, been on the move for some time.

After Westerlo’s interest, the Turkish press mentioned Trabzonspor’s proposal last week. According to Het Nieuwsblad, the offer is very real, but the Verschaeren clan would not be very keen on the transfer. The fact remains that Anderlecht will not close the door to the departure of its player in January in the event of a good offer.
