Superb match tonight between the two best teams of this first half of the 2024-25 season. The leader of the East received the leader of the West, and it was the leader of the West who finally received… his lesson. Superb victory for the Cavs, well done gentlemen!
The Thunder remained on 15 victories in a row and have within them the favorite in the race for the MVP.
The Cavs remained on 10 consecutive victories and have the best record in the League just ahead of… the Thunder.
Everything came together for a masterpiece, and in the absence of a masterpiece we were treated to a very, very, very good basketball match. Thunder side? The classic, with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in MVP mode, Jalen Williams in All-Star mode, and Isaiah Hartenstein as firefighter on duty, compensating as best he can for the absence of Chet Holmgren, we will come back to it.
For the Cavs? A Playoffs atmosphere at home, an ultra-dominant interior duo (Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley), a perfect Darius Garland at the helm, a Ty Jerome – Max Strus duo who won the bench battle, and a Donovan Mitchell who threw bricks all night but ended up getting the two shots he needed to get.
What can we note? This is because the Thunder really seem like Chet Holmgren to be quite simply invincible, but Cleveland is so well coached and equipped that this lack has been superbly exploited. That the Cavs have trouble being taken seriously and that everyone expects them especially in the Playoffs, but that doesn’t stop them from bowing to this perpetual basketball clinic this season.

End of series for OKC, not much to drink, and that makes 11 in a row for the Cavs, of whom we can no longer say that they only play average teams. 32 wins and 4 losses, the record is monstrous, and the Thunder paid to find out. Gentlemen, bravo, and respect.
