Anderlecht is preparing for a fairly busy winter transfer window. The core needs to be strengthened in a targeted manner and the intention is also to part ways with a certain number of players.
Yari Verschaeren could be one of the players set to leave Anderlecht in January. The 23-year-old playmaker is quite irregular this season and the explosion of Mario Stroeykens means that he plays less and less. The young Tristan Degreef is also on the verge of passing him in the hierarchy.
New challenge for Verchaeren?
In recent weeks, Verschaeren has been announced by Westerlo, but there is little chance of this transfer happening. On the other hand, a departure abroad is entirely possible, knowing that the playmaker will begin his last year of contract next season.
To sell Verschaeren at a good price, Anderlecht must therefore part ways with the Red Devil this month or next summer.
Trabzonspor
According to famous Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Trabzonspor have set their sights on Verschaeren. The Turkish club, which already recruited Cihan Canak and Denis Dragus last summer, could therefore once again come to Belgium.
It remains to be seen how much money the current 14th in the Süper Lig will be willing to offer and whether Verschaeren will be keen on the idea of continuing his career in Türkiye.
