Stade de Mbour wins against Jambars FC and takes the lead in Ligue 2

Last Sunday, Stade de Mbour won a valuable victory against Jambars FC with a score of 1-0. This success is part of the tenth day of Ligue 2, as reported by the Senegalese Press Agency (APS). The match took place at the Stade Caroline Faye, where player number 9, Sèkou Sylla, was the hero of the match by scoring the only goal in the 56th minute.

At the end of the match, the coach of Stade de Mbour, El Hadj Seck, underlined the importance of this victory for the team. “The result was the most important thing,” he said, adding that their overriding objective was to bag three crucial points to claim first place. He also highlighted the need to capitalize on playing at home.

Despite the victory, El Hadj Seck admitted that his team had shown signs of fatigue after a good start to the match. “We started well, especially in the first fifteen minutes, but then we let the opponent take the initiative,” he explained. Nevertheless, the Stadium was able to contain the attacks of Jambars FC.

For his part, the coach of Jambars FC, Ibrahima Ciss, congratulated Stade de Mbour for its performance while highlighting the difficulties encountered by his team. Dominating much of the first half, Jambars FC lacked realism, wasting three clear scoring chances. Ciss also pointed out the quality of the pitch which, according to him, limits the technical abilities of the players.

At the end of the match, Stade de Mbour took the lead in its group, a position that coach Seck intends to defend by continuing their positive momentum. “All we can do is continue this dynamic,” he said, according to information shared by the APS.
