???? Victim of a former Eupenois, Philippe Clement is furious: “If that’s a penalty…” – All football

Philippe Clement and Rangers fell again by sharing 3-3 at Hibernian. The Belgian coach appeared very bitter in a post-match interview.

The respite was short-lived for Philippe Clément. The euphoria of the victory against Celtic evaporated with this 3-3 against Hibernian. The former Club Brugge coach regrets the late equalizer Rocky Bushiri (ex-Eupen) but also the penalty awarded to the locals to regain the score for the first time on the hour mark.

An “incomprehensible” decision according to Clement, who believes that the two players collided at full speed: “I can’t explain it to my players. If that’s a penalty, they should collapse at each contact in the penalty area, but that’s not how I want football to be played,” Clement said.

A very uncertain second part of the season

Despite the disappointment, Clement also saw positives in his team’s performance. “There were a lot of good things to see, but we are still looking for defensive stability.” Injuries don’t help: “We have to deal with the absence of many defenders, that’s a fact.”

Philippe Clement makes no secret of his expectations regarding the transfer window: “Every coach hopes for new players, but especially me, with all these injuries. I am not the person who can fix that.”

He therefore puts a certain pressure on his management, like that which weighs on his shoulders. Beating Celtic 3-0 gave credit to our compatriot, but each poor performance weakens him a little more.
