The lawn of the Larbi Zaouli stadium will soon be rehabilitated

The Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca hosts the matches of Wydad, Raja as well as Tihad Athletic Sport (TAS) and has even hosted a few matches of the Morocco-2024 Women’s Champions League, all in just four months. Faced with the deterioration of the pitch, the authorities decided to launch maintenance work without closing the stadium to the three teams hosting there.

According to sources close to the matter, “maintenance work on the lawn of the Larbi Zaouli complex will begin soon, without closing the stadium to the teams of Wydad, Raja and TAS”. while specifying that “the deterioration of the pitch is due to the large number of matches played in a short time by the two flagship clubs of Casablanca as well as by the TAS”.

TAS, the emblematic team of the Hay Mohammadi district, has long been the main occupant of the stadium, and has been for several years. While waiting for the reopening of the Mohammed V Complex, currently under construction, the two Casablanca giants also played their championship matches there, as well as those of the Champions League for the RCA.
