The Sonarges company, in charge of the management and maintenance of the Larbi Zaouli complex in Casablanca, plans to soon launch a maintenance operation for the stadium pitch, according to Hesport.
According to the same source, this operation will have no impact on the scheduling of matches of the Wydad de Casablanca and Raja de Casablanca teams, which are currently playing on this pitch due to the renovation work in progress at the Mohammed V stadium.
The company intends to put in place a well-studied maintenance plan in order to avoid the closure of the stadium, thus allowing the teams that depend on it to continue to use it without interruption in the scheduling of matches.
According to the same information, the degraded state of the pitch at the Larbi Zaouli stadium is attributed to the large number of matches which took place there over a short period.
-The poor quality of the pitch has come under increasing criticism from supporters and is causing concern among the Raja and Wydad teams, who rely on this stadium as their first option to host their matches.
The Larbi Zaouli Stadium is scheduled to host Raja Casablanca’s next match against Mamelodi Sundowns, this Saturday, January 4, as part of the fourth day of the CAF Champions League group stage.
