Galatasaray: Hakim Ziyech's departure is confirmed

Rumors about the departure of Hakim Ziyech are confirmed. The Atlas Lion will no longer wear the Galatasaray jersey from next year. During a media outing, coach Okan Buruk spoke about the situation of the 2022 World Cup semi-finalist.

“I spoke to Ziyech. His competitors (at his position) are in very good shape. He also informed us that he is not satisfied with the playing time he is getting. He will have meetings with other teams after the start of the transfer window. The body language of these players when on the bench can be negative. He is unhappy because he is not playing and is about to leave,” said the Turkish technician, during a press conference, where Buruk took stock of the first half of the season.

A declining market value

Since his arrival at Galatasaray, Hakim Ziyech has seen his market value decrease significantly. His current situation within the Turkish club seems to have contributed, to a large extent, to this decline.

According to the latest update from TransferMarkt, the market value of Atlas Lion Hakim Ziyech has seen a flagrant decline from 7 million to 5 million euros.

In 2019, when the “magician” played at Ajax Amsterdam, she reached a peak of 50 million euros. His transfer to Chelsea stopped his momentum and his stay in Türkiye worsened his case, causing his assessment to drop considerably.

A decline which could encourage several European clubs to enlist “the magician” during the winter transfer window. It is also an opportunity for the captain of the Lair to relaunch himself and regain his captain's armband one year before the CAN 2025 planned in the Kingdom.
