Téji Savanier summoned by Laurent Nicollin

By responding ironically to a supporter who was harassing him in 's last place in Ligue 1, Téji Savanier put himself in great danger.

In addition to the disastrous sinking in the Coupe de against Le Puy, which plays in N2, the Montpellier club found itself in the middle of a controversy generated by its captain Téji Savanier. By reminding a supporter ironically about the red lantern position of the MHSC, the Montpellier player had thrown his salary in his face, namely 210,000 euros per month. A scene relayed on social networks and which triggered a vast controversy, Laurent Nicollin's club pointing the finger at Téji Savanier, while the latter apologized, aware that his response to the supporter was shocking. For the MHSC supporter groups, this was the straw that broke the camel's back, with the latter putting a very long press release online pointing out everything that was no longer going well within the Hérault club.

Concerning Téji Savanier, the matter could however not stop there. Even if the club's owner does not plan to place the latter on the transfer list, which some are demanding, Laurent Nicollin could however make a first symbolic decision. According to Mohamed Toubache Ter, the son of Louis Nicollin will meet the 33-year-old midfielder as soon as training resumes, and it is likely that the latter will have the MHSC captain's armband removed. A sanction more symbolic than anything else, but which is a message sent by Nicollin Jr to his star player and to all the Montpellier players at a time when the last in Ligue 1 still hopes to save his place in the elite.
