Hakim Ziyech deprived of salary?

“Galatasaray management did not pay the Moroccan player's monthly salary, which amounts to 250,000 euros (2.5 million dirhams) for more than four months,” an anonymous source revealed to the site Madar21. “Galatasaray also failed to pay part of the signing bonus,” she added.

Faced with this situation, and taking into account the pressure exerted by the club's management, Ziyech would have decided to leave Galatasaray. “Galatasaray is exerting “pernicious” pressure and using all possible methods to force Ziyech to leave during the next winter transfer window,” said the source.

Rumors have been circulating regarding a possible dispute between Ziyech and Moroccan national team coach Walid Regragui following criticism by the player over Morocco's stance on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. These allegations were strongly denied by the source close to Ziyech.

“On the contrary, the player's official representatives believe that the decision to exclude him from the national team was correct, especially since he was injured and only played a few minutes for his club. The national team is not there to satisfy moods,” she clarified.

Ziyech, who has recovered from his injury, should therefore regain his place in the national team after his departure from Galatasaray. He has already received offers from and Olympiakos.

As a reminder, Ziyech joined Galatasaray in August 2023, after an initial loan from Chelsea. His move to Türkiye followed unsuccessful attempts to join Saint-Germain and Al-Nassr.
