approaching Cape Horn, Richomme imposes a hellish pace on Dalin

Yoann Richomme and Paprec Arkéa firmly hold the lead in the rankings on Sunday morning even though Charlie Dalin, just behind, is only 38 miles away.

Yoann Richomme (Paprec Arkéa) took a few miles ahead of Charlie Dalin (Macif Santé Prévoyance) at the head of the 10th Vendée Globe and was nearly 38 miles ahead at the 07:00 a.m. (GMT+1) score on Sunday as he approached the cape Horn.

On his lame monohull after the loss of his right foil, Sébastien Simon (Groupe Dubreuil) is still third but losing ground, now 346 nautical miles from the leader.

The rest of the fleet is also losing ground on the two leading skippers who should round Cape Horn and begin their journey up the Atlantic at Christmas.
