Chapeau Franziska Preuss
The 30-year-old German biathlete won a deserved success this afternoon in the Grand Bornand pursuit.
Despite the behavior of the public present in the stands, who showed that they knew absolutely nothing about biathlon, Franziska Preuss made everyone agree.
Arriving alone on the last shot, the world No. 1 settled under the “Allez les Bleus” released by these stupid fans, to whom the codes of the discipline will have to be explained.
Despite this noise and the encouragement for Julia Simon and Jeanne Richard, Franziska Preuss was able to refuel before going for, without ever trembling, like Johannes Boe this morning, a new victory.
A veritable metronome since the start of this season, the German climbs onto her 5th consecutive podium and above all widens the gap in the general classification of the World Cup, before the (possibly very windy) mass start scheduled for Sunday.

Julia Simon and Jeanne Richard brilliant
While Justine Braisaz Bouchet and Anamarija Lampic, victorious and third in the sprint, signed the worst results of the shooting race, 7 errors for the Svoyard and 6 for the Slovenian, two other tricolors will show themselves much more inspired.
A great exercise specialist, never so strong as in pursuit mode, Julia Simon, with newfound enthusiasm and legs that are getting better and better, will come and get an excellent 2nd place.
Seventh in the sprint, she took advantage of her 18/20 to come on the second step of the podium and climb to 5th place overall, behind Preuss, E.Oeberg, Jeanmonnot and Voigt.
The public of Grand Bornand also shouted to salute the best performance in Jeanne Richard's career. Coming as a neighbor, the young left-handed player from the French team, ultra strong in shooting, played with the adults.
12th in the sprint, Jeanne Richard, thanks to her first three perfect shots, arrives on the last shot with Julia Simon. Unfortunately for her, a bullet went astray and the podium passed her in front, for a few seconds in favor of Vanessa Voigt, another elite shooter.
The Haut Savoyarde, over the moon, was not disappointed, finishing superbly 4th in front of her home crowd.

Absences opened doors
With Vittozzi, Tandrevold, H.Oeberg, Davidova, Knotten, Tannheimer, Arnekleiv absent, there were obviously good places to be taken among the top 10.
Rather impressive, the young Norwegian Maren Kirkeeide will take the opportunity to improve her best career result by finishing 5th, the same success for the Finnish Lehtonen, unexpectedly 7th.
In the middle we find Elvira Oeberg who achieved the best comeback of the day. Starting 32nd, the Swede finished the race with an unexpected 6th place and an 18/20 shooting score.
34th in the sprint, Océane Michelon did almost as well, placing 11th, just ahead of Justine Braisaz Bouchet. Lou Jeanmonnot was able to scrape up a few places to finish 18th, and Sophie Chauveau ranked 31st.
We end with another piece of good news: the six French biathletes will be at the start of the mass start scheduled for Sunday.
