It was 5:12 p.m. when Teddy Riner finally appeared on the tatami at the FDI Stadium this Saturday: it was for the final of the Champions League, with his club, PSG, against the Serbian Red Star of Belgrade. An event now contested with the popular mixed team format, a format that the Frenchman appreciates. However, Riner was not initially planned, the fault of a contract not yet renewed and finally finalized during the night of Thursday to Friday. The double Olympic champion of the 2024 Olympic Games (+ 100 kg and mixed team) therefore arrived at the last minute in Montpellier, Friday afternoon, but waited until the final before fighting.
