“I don’t regret leaving Antwerp”

Antwerp has been struggling in recent weeks. Indeed, Antwerp have a record of 2/12 in the league. They hope to get back on track this weekend against Dender.

However, this will not be an easy task because the team led by Vincent Euvrard is having a very good season and is only three points from the top 6.

Bruny Nsimba

One of Dender's strong men this season is Bruny Nsimba, a former Antwerp player. With the Antwerp club, the striker played 20 matches (one goal, two assists), won the title and two Belgian Cups.

Despite this, the Angolan striker decided to go on loan to Beveren in January 2023 in order to get more playing time: “Initially, I had no intention of leaving Antwerp. But when the opportunity to Joining Beveren came, I didn't hesitate too much. I knew I was going to miss the Cup final and the possible title celebration, but I wanted to play more.”

No regrets

After his loan to Beveren (11 matches, 3 goals), the Angolan striker signed with Dender. A choice he does not regret: “I often watch Antwerp matches, but I don’t tell myself that they should have kept me or that I should have stayed.”

This season, Nsimba has scored 3 goals and provided 2 assists in 17 league matches. He will obviously be keen to improve his statistics against his former team.
