Singo sanctioned by the LFP… but not for his sole on Donnarumma

Advanced match, advanced penalties. This Wednesday evening, AS Monaco actually hosted Paris-Saint-Germain as part of the shock of the sixteenth day of Ligue 1. A meeting brought forward to this week due to the Champions Trophy which will pit the two teams against each other at the start of the calendar year in Qatar. The capital club, which won with a score of four goals to two at the end of a big match, saw Gianluigi Donnarumma leave with an injury, his face scarred. The reason? Wilfried Singo arrived at full speed to challenge the Parisian goalkeeper. The trained central defender jumped at the last moment to avoid the Italian, who caught the underside of his studs.

This Friday, the Disciplinary Commission of the Professional Football League (LFP) revealed the sanctions taken following this match. No Parisian is worried, while Wilfried Singo was suspended for one match following a third warning in a period including 10 official competition matches. A sanction which will take effect from this Tuesday, after the entry of the Principality club into the Coupe de France against Union Saint-Jean (R1). Sent off at the end of the match, Adi Hütter also received a one-match suspension from the sidelines, the referees' locker room and all official functions.
