Kasper Dolberg is transformed at Anderlecht: “It was Brian Riemer’s fault” – All football

Kasper Dolberg is the man in form at Anderlecht and in the Jupiler Pro League. In November, the Danish striker scored ten times in five matches, an impressive run that even former striker Nicolas Frutos failed to achieve during his time at the club.

Nciolas Fruitsaged 43, is full of praise for Dolberg: “He has finally understood what responsibility rests on his shoulders as Anderlecht striker,” he declared in the columns of Sudinfo.

Frutos says Dolberg always had the technical skills, but what makes the difference now is his attitude. “It’s also thanks to David Hubert,” he said.

According to Frutos, under Brian Riemer, Dolberg had to devote a lot of energy to what he considers secondary tasks for a striker: getting down low, blocking spaces on the sides. Now he participates more in construction and combinations, which gives him confidence.

A fresh and confident Dolberg is crucial for Anderlecht, says Frutos. “A striker must be fresh when he receives the ball in the penalty area. He is now, and it helps him score. Anderlecht regains control of matches, which is essential for a goalscorer.”

Frutos sees the potential in Dolberg to become the competition’s top scorer, but advises him not to view that as an absolute goal. “Dolberg has everything it takes to be the best, but he is too collective to focus solely on that. His collective approach is one of his greatest assets.”
