Alpine skiing – World Cup. Sarrazin, Pinturault, Allègre… Various challenges for the Blues on the descent from Val Gardena

The French team begins the Italian tour in speed with a super-G this Friday (11:45 a.m.) in Val Gardena. The start of a long sequence for Cyprien Sarrazin and the Tricolores who will then move on to the downhill (Saturday, 11:45 a.m.), and the technical disciplines with the giant (Sunday, 10 a.m./11:30 a.m.) and the slalom (Monday, 10 a.m./11:30 a.m.) at Alta Badia.

After the excitement of Val d’Isère last week, the French team will meet on the Italian tour in Val Gardena. It’s time for speed this Friday with a super-G on the program (11:45 a.m.).

After his second place at Beaver Creek on December 7, Cyprien Sarrazin will be the Habs to follow. The Haut-Alpin will have the ambition to seek a first victory this season. Fifth time in training twice this week, the first signals are good on the Saslong.

Pinturault continues to take his bearings

Still not decided to do the descent on Saturday, Alexis Pinturault will however be at the start of this super-G. Tenth at Beaver Creek, the Courchevel skier, returning to competition after his serious knee injury, continues to gain his bearings. “There are still things to improve, but there were some very good ones, like in the commitment. Everything is getting back to normal,” explained Pinturault after his 28e place on the giant of Val d’Isère.

After more contrasting performances in the United States for the rest of the French team, Nils Allègre, Florian Loriot, Matthieu Bailet, Blaise Giezendanner, Maxence Muzaton, Adrien Theaux and Nils Alphand will try to get closer to the top 10 this Friday, to finally kick off their season.
