Last stage of the Rugby authorities’ calendar, the elections of the departmental committees took place on December 14. In Isère, the “Ovale Ensemble” list won with 70.78% of the votes. At its head, two presidents: Emmanuel Picon, from AS Fontaine, and Frédéric Buge, from RC Vallons de La Tour. They succeed Christian Nier, who did not stand for reelection. The beaten list, “Isère at the heart of the clubs” was led by Paolo Fontebasso (RC Matheysin) and was intended to be apolitical.
As a reminder, Florian Grill (Ovale Ensemble) was re-elected president of the French Rugby Federation on October 19. On November 2, Thierry Tonnelier (Ovale Ensemble) was re-elected at the head of the AuRA League.
