The Confederation of African Football announces a decisive tour for Patrice Motsepe, president of the institution, as part of the organization of the 2024 African Nations Championship. This visit, which begins Thursday in Tanzania, extends over two days and will also include Kenya and Uganda, co-hosting countries of the event.
The CAF president’s journey will begin in Dar-es-Salaam, with a series of official meetings. On Thursday, he will continue his trip to Nairobi where he will interact with important football personalities as well as government decision-makers. The loop of his tour will close in Kampala, promises the Confederation of African Football.
During these strategic stages, Patrice Motsepe will closely examine the sports infrastructure under construction. The program includes detailed tours of the renovated stadiums intended to host CHAN matches, as well as training sites. This marks a continuity with the inspections last November which examined the reception capacities of host countries.
Among the points of interest for this mission are also accommodation and air connections, essential for the smooth running of the tournament.
