-Holon interrupted by pro-Palestinian demonstrators, tensions in Maurice-Thorez

Poster for the Champions League, the match between and Hapoel Holon, an Israeli club, was interrupted for several minutes by pro-Palestinian demonstrators.

The meeting smelled of sulfur. There was no shortage of excesses. Meeting counting for the Basketball Champions League, Nanterre-Hapoël Holon was to be played behind closed doors according to the wishes of the mayor of the town of 92. About ten minutes of interruption

While the first period was played without incident, several pro-Palestinian demonstrators rushed onto the floor, flags in hands, to interrupt the match. Without, however, going into confrontation with the hundred or so Israeli supporters present at Maurice-Thorez.

The police, present in large numbers, quickly intervened to stop the demonstrators. After around ten minutes of interruption and the arrest of the troublemakers, the match was able to resume with a security cordon and police officers with riot shields to prevent further intrusions on the floor. The meeting then came to an end, without any further clashes, with a success (87-77) and qualification for Nanterre.
