The Gers Departmental Cycle Tourism Committee (CoDep 32) recently held its annual general meeting at the La Hournère restaurant in Marsan. Affiliated with the French Cycling Federation (FFVélo), this elective meeting marked the renewal of the governing bodies, in accordance with the Olympic calendar.
After confirmation of the quorum (22 clubs present out of 24), work began. Lionel Saint-Martin, president of CoDep 32, presented the new steering committee team made up of 16 members to club representatives and guests: Philippe Giraud (CoReg FFVélo Occitanie), Camille Bonne (Gers Departmental Council) and Emmanuelle Boyé-Capdet (Gers Departmental Committee for Tourism and Leisure), all three partners of the CoDep. Hervé Pasquet, president of the FFRP, also honored this assembly with his presence.
After a tribute to the deceased, Lionel Saint-Martin took stock of his eight years as president. This was followed by activity reports from the clubs and the CoDep, highlighting the numerous initiatives, such as the Itinerant Cycling Trip, bringing together 30 cycle tourists from Argenton-sur-Creuse to Paris in five days. Each commission (women’s, training, mountain biking, etc.) also presented its achievements.
The treasurer of CoDep 32 detailed the accounts before their validation by a vote, accompanied by the election of the members of the future steering committee. All reports and the list of candidates were widely approved.
