The first downhill training in Val Gardena took place this Tuesday on the Saslong.
The Italian tour is launched at full speed. This Tuesday morning, the go-getters met in Val Gardena for the first downhill training on the Saslong. Local Mattia Casse was the fastest of the session ahead of Marco Odermatt (+0”44) and German Romed Baumann (+0”57).
Sarrazin best French
The Blues played the leading roles with a very good Cyprien Sarrazin, 5e time of the day (+0”63) just ahead of Nils Allègre (+ 0”68) while Nils Alphand also achieved a good run (10e+ 1”31). Just behind, we find Blaise Giezendanner (14e), Adrien Théaux (16e) and Matthieu Bailet (17e). Maxence Muzaton is further away (39e), just like Sam Alphand (53e).
Expected in super-G, Alexis Pinturault does not participate in downhill training.
A second training session is planned for Wednesday. The one scheduled for Thursday has already been canceled.
Val Gardena hosts a super-G (Friday) and a downhill (Saturday).
